A mega Kisan Mela was organized at ICAR- CPCRI, RC Kahikuchi on the 24^th and 25^th of September, 2025 in collaboration with ICAR DMAPR, Anand Gujarat, ICAR DFR, Pune, Maharastra, ICAR IISR, Kozikode, Kerala, and AAU, Jorhat Assam. The chief guest of the programme was Dr. K.V Prasad, Director, DFR Pune, Maharastra. Other dignitaries present were Dr. Manish Das, Director, DMAPR, Anand Gujarat, Dr. S. Hazarika, Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya, Mr Loken Das, CGM NABARD, Guwahati, Dr. V.K Gupta, Director NRC on Pig, Guwahati, Dr. H.P Maheswarappa Principal Scientist, ICAR CPCRI Kasaragod, Dr Alpana Das Principal Scientist & Scientist in charge, ICAR CPCRI RC Kahikuchi, Mr K K Bora, Organizing Secretary BKS and Dr. Pradip Mahanta, Chief Scientist HRS Kahikuchi

The two days programme included four sessions on various topics along with farmer’s scientist interactions. More than 1000 farmers from different districts of Assam participated in the programme. Speakers from AICRP on Floriculture, Medicinal and aromatic plants, beetlevine centres of Pusa (Bihar), Ranchi, Kalimpong, Jorhat, Pasighat, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata delivered lectures in the Kisan Mela. Exhibition stalls from ICAR institutes and startups exhibited their products and technologies.
