KVK – Alappuzha celebrated ‘Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan’ Diwas

As part of ‘Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan’ week celebrations, KVK – Alappuzha organized different programmes for farmers at various locations in Alappuzha district on 23/12/2015 as follows

 

  • On campus training on “Preparation and usage of organic manures and bio pesticides” was organized for thirty eight women farmers from Mavelikkara block

            

  • On campus Training on “Value added products from jack fruit” was conducted for 33 members of a Farmer Extension Organization (FEO) from Parappa block o Kasaragod district. 

           

  • Vaccination campaign for backyard poultry was conducted at Sansad Adarsh Gram- Aryad. Smt. Bindhu Madhukumar, Aryad Grama Panchayath ward member inaugurated the programme by handing over the pellet vaccine. Total no of 350 birds were administered vaccine and 23 farmers benefitted through this programme.

           

  • Fodder day was celebrated at Kaithathil primary cooperative society of Sansad Adarsh gram – Aryad. Importance of hydroponics method of fodder production was explained to the dairy farmers with the help of the hydroponic unit set up in the milk society by the KVK. Eighteen farmers attended this awareness programme.

           

  • Exhibition stall was arranged in the Onattukkara Fest, organized by Association of Onattukkara Farmers Club at Charummoodu by displaying different technologies and  making available various critical inputs to the farmers from the stall. Shri. R.Rajesh, MLA of Mavelikkara constituency visited the stall.
